QUINN EWERS, FIVE-STAR QUARTERBACK - OHIO STATE (2022) Quinn Ewers, the nation's top prospect in the 2022 class on the Composite and the Top247 rankings, posted strong numbers as well. He was great early on as he threw for more than 200 yards in the first half. Westlake's pressure ramped up in the third quarter and Ewers' time decreased. He looked like he may have gotten a bit banged up in the second half, but he continued to battled, even after Westlake built a sizable lead in the fourth quarter. Ewers completed 23 of 39 passes for 350 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. He made a few plays with his legs, but his rushing stats were tempered by Westlake's pursuit ability and some negative sack yardage. In Nicaragua, Major Hurricane Eta made landfall on November 3rd. It caused catastrophic damage and flooding there and in Honduras. Less than two weeks later, Hurricane Iota made landfall just 15 miles south of where Eta did. Iota was a Category 5 storm just off the coast with wind speeds of 160 mph but, like Eta, was a Category 4 storm at landfall.
