The three-and-half-year-old was discovered by a police dog and his handler at 11.15pm on January 29, 2019 face up in the water more than a kilometre from his home. His father, Paul Jones, has taken time off work on the anniversary to visit Lachie’s grave, which he still tends to every day. Flowers and toys decorate the site - and windmills. Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents continue to find stash houses near the border where smugglers warehouse their human cargo. Most recently, agents in Pharr, Texas, found 71 migrants packed into a single house. Pharr Police Department officers contacted McAllen Station agents about a suspected human smuggling stash house in their border community. The agents and officers teamed up and conducted a welfare check on the residence, according to Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials. A 28-year-old homemaker was found dead on the premises of double bedroom buildings constructed by the government for the poor at Nagaram under Keesara police station here on Sunday evening. The victim, P Satya Santhoshi, an engineering graduate, ended her life by jumping from a building, allegedly due to harassment of husband and his parents for additional dowry, inspector J Narender Goud said. He said that the victim was in love with K Pawan Bhagvan, and they got married on March 8, 2018 with the acceptance of their parents. Police in Cheyenne, Wyoming, are investigating after a missing toddler was found dead in a dumpster. Two-year-old Athian Rivera was reported missing at around 1 p.m. on Friday. In a post on Facebook , the Cheyenne Police Department said the boy had last been seen in the 500 block of Desmet Drive, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and black sweatpants. His disappearance prompted an extensive search that involved multiple law enforcement agencies, the police department's public information officer Alexandra Farkas said at a news conference later on Friday afternoon. She said the Laramie County Sheriff's Department, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation as well as Cheyenne Fire and Rescue were among the agencies that assisted the police department. Over 175 dogs were seized from a home in St. Landry Parish after a tip the animals were being mistreated, KATC reports. St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies and agents with St. Landry Parish Animal Control found more than 175 small breed dogs living in “untenable living conditions” in a home between Grand Coteau and Opelousas. Deputies said the homeowner was breeding the animals to sell online. The parish animal cruelty ordinance states: “It shall be unlawful to be cruel or inhumane to any animal.
