Not only is Trump facing the wrath of the left, but also those who worked in his administration. At Harvard University, students have started a petition demanding that former Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany be stripped of her degree from that institution. The Lincoln Project, a group of “Never Trump” Republicans, wants to create a database of all people who worked in the administration and make sure none of them can find employment. … [Read more...] about Jeff Crouere: The persecution of Donald Trump is a sign of Biden’s phony ‘unity’

Trump Is Rushing the Syria Withdrawal—And That Could Backfire
Trump’s announcement in December was roundly condemned. U.S. allies in the counter-ISIS coalition, including France and the United Kingdom, were left scrambling to make their own plans. Even critics of the U.S. ground deployment in Syria, which as of now involves around 2,000 troops largely tasked with fighting the Islamic State and training local forces, characterized Trump’s plans as the right policy pursued in the wrong way. Withdrawing too fast would create a vacuum that U.S. foes, including Russia and Iran, would fill. It would fail to consolidate the U.S.-led coalition’s victory over ISIS, leaving the group space to rebuild and rearm. And it would leave some of the best U.S. allies in that battle—the Syrian Kurds, who did the bulk of the ground fighting—vulnerable to a Turkish government just over the border that sees them as terrorists and is bent on crushing their bid for autonomy. … [Read more...] about Trump Is Rushing the Syria Withdrawal—And That Could Backfire

Our Views: After the party, unity problem for both political parties
That trial could be a political problem, because leaving it with impeachment and no trial would pose a unity problem among Democrats. Former NYT Writer Blasts Newspaper For Hypocrisy, Tells Megyn Kelly That It’s Become A Place Where You’re ‘Fired For’ Publishing Conservatives
“I think the thing to emphasize for people, what I like to say to people is like, The New York Times is not The New York Times,” Weiss told Kelly. “Harvard is not Harvard. Go down the list. Harvard still has the same slogan and same crest. The New York Times still has the font and the claim to be the paper of record, but what it actually is has changed.” … [Read more...] about Former NYT Writer Blasts Newspaper For Hypocrisy, Tells Megyn Kelly That It’s Become A Place Where You’re ‘Fired For’ Publishing Conservatives
Virtual Davos aims to heal pandemic wounds
Nowhere has this me-first approach been more apparent than on the vaccine front where rich nations have secured billions of doses — many times the size of their populations — while poor nations struggle for supplies. The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who is also one of the speakers, cautioned that the world was on the brink of "catastrophic moral failure." … [Read more...] about Virtual Davos aims to heal pandemic wounds
