Namco X CapcomBefore there was Street Fighter X Tekken, there was Namco X Capcom. This Japanese-only 2005 PS2 release was a tactical RPG incorporating the best from both companies the day that Captain Commando, Klonoa, Huitzil, and Ogre co-exist in the same game is a grand day indeed. But Capcom and Namco mightve went overboard on the little-known references; some of the character inclusions are just flat-out nuts, hailing from games we barely know. Who here remembers The Tower of Druaga? Resident Evil: Dead Aim? Baraduke? Forgotten Worlds? Yeah, we dont either. … [Read more...] about The 15 most bizarre crossovers in gaming
Vietnam also defended the National Report on the Implementation of the Convention on Civil and Political Rights, one of the conventions considered "difficult" and attracting international attention. The world of music provides a ready example: In the 1980s, music bands were able to circumvent the elaborate and difficult process of music production by making copies of their songs and albums through … [Read more...] about How can inter-generational collaboration be achieved at the workplace of the 2020s?
Best Robot: I argued unsuccessfully to make this friendly robot our “best” in show pick, and I probably would have gotten away with it if not for the fact that Samsung churns out unattainable robot concepts almost every year at CES. Still, plenty of us at The Verge made the most noise this year while cooing at the Handy bot, who just wants your dishes to be clean and your meat-based body to be well-hydrated. Samsung is getting better and better at making robots look friendly, even now, when they’re sporting killer robot appendages dexterous digits. It was a hard year, and I welcome the idea of a new friend who’s unaffected by human frailties. —TC Sottek … [Read more...] about The Verge Awards at CES 2021: can’t touch this
