Diablo 2 Resurrected will let you transfer your original save files from Blizzard’s iconic RPG, Diablo 2, even though it was released over two decades ago. Diablo 2 Resurrected producer Matthew Cederquist told IGN : “Yes, keep your old save files. Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work, so we kind of shoved it in, and it worked! So yes, your local single-player save files will carry over.” The news will be welcome to those who have already sunk countless hours into Blizzard’s action RPG, or to anyone who may have dipped their toes into the world of Diablo 2 recently. It’s also rather rare that developers support the option to import older file saves into remasters or remakes. Wasps: The Astonishing Diversity of a Misunderstood Insect
Source: Egor Kamelev, Pexels free download. Last year essay I posted an essay called Some Truths About the Fascinating Lives of Wasps published in New Scientist by Richard Jones called "Not so Waspish," with the subtitle "They are one of the least-loved animals, but wasps deserve our affection. It's time for a rebranding." The online version is titled " Wasps may benefit us as much as bees. Could we learn to love them? " with the subtitle "We love to hate wasps, but they pollinate flowers, kill off pests and their venom might even help us treat cancer." 1 I learned a lot about wasps from Jones' essay and the references he provides, and wanted to learn more about these misunderstood insects. So, I was pleased to read a book called Wasps: The Astonishing Diversity of a Misunderstood Insect by Eric R. Eaton, a writer, editor, and consultant who has worked as an entomologist for many institutions. 2 Here's what he had to say about his highly informative and … [Read more...] about Wasps: The Astonishing Diversity of a Misunderstood Insect

Trump, Trumpism and the Future of the GOP | Opinion
Former President Donald J. Trump's recent speech to the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) put him back in the spot he most enjoys: front and center of the national conversation. He's been the topic, even as President Joe Biden suffered his first defeat on Capitol Hill and House Democrats passed a bill that suppresses our treasured right to freedom of speech. Trump, always controversial, continued unhelpfully to assert the election was stolen from him even while effectively attacking the nascent Biden administration for undoing policies that "made America great again." The speech breathed new life into the discussion of a possible run in 2024 and whether he could win the Republican nomination. Republicans and Democrats both know he could be a formidable presidential candidate in 2024, should he win the GOP nomination. He won 74 million votes in 2020—11 million more while losing than he did while winning in 2016. The GOP also picked up a governorship and … [Read more...] about Trump, Trumpism and the Future of the GOP | Opinion
Oprah interview: Biggest takeaways from Harry and Meghan’s tell-all interview
In the days leading up to Oprah Winfrey's highly anticipated prime time interview Sunday night (Monday NZT) with Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, CBS released a clip that showed Winfrey telling the couple, “You've said some pretty shocking things here.” That may have been an understatement. Here are some of the biggest takeaways from the interview. Meghan said she had suicidal thoughts as a member of the royal family Winfrey noted that Meghan had once said “the daily onslaught of vitriol and condemnation from the UK press was “almost unsurvivable.” (Meghan, who is biracial, in particular faced racist and sexist coverage in the tabloids not long after she and Harry started dating.) Meghan Markle Told Oprah About The Revelation She Had After Watching “The Little Mermaid” And It’s So Damn Powerful
Sunday night was the time we were all waiting for as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's much-anticipated interview with Oprah aired, and it didn't disappoint. In the brutally honest interview, Meghan and Harry opened up about their decision to leave the royal establishment in order to protect their family, and no topic was off-limits. One of the most poignant parts of the interview, however, was a surprising one that gave a powerful message of hope when Meghan referenced a certain Disney movie. "I was sitting in Nottingham Cottage, and The Little Mermaid came on," Meghan explained. "And who as an adult really watches The Little Mermaid ? But it came on, and I was like, Well, I'm just here all the time so may as well watch this ." However, while watching the animated classic, Meghan started to see parallels between her own life and that of the mermaid on screen, particularly the part where Ariel loses her voice in order to be with Prince Eric. … [Read more...] about Meghan Markle Told Oprah About The Revelation She Had After Watching “The Little Mermaid” And It’s So Damn Powerful
Parliament has to choose between what’s popular and what’s right as spending needs grow: Indranee
SINGAPORE - Parliament on Monday (March 8) approved the Government's $107 billion spending plans for the coming financial year, following nine days of debate on the national Budget where hot-button issues featured prominently on the agenda. These included sustainability, industry transformation, job security and mental health. Capping the debate, Leader of the House Indranee Rajah reminded MPs that Singapore may face difficult choices ahead as its spending needs grow despite a tight fiscal situation. While the House was agreed on Singapore's fiscal approach for this year's Budget, she said, it will likely have to debate the impending goods and services (GST) tax hike again - given what opposition MPs have said on the topic. "I wish only to leave Members with this thought: If we want to do more for our people, we will have to spend more," added Ms Indranee, who is also Second Minister for Finance and National Development. "In a tight fiscal situation, this Parliament will … [Read more...] about Parliament has to choose between what’s popular and what’s right as spending needs grow: Indranee

I was not at my best but tried to steer her to my manager. The girl refused to see the manager and Tweeted about my company and me that night. The next day, I called my supervisor to alert her about the angry customer. I was shocked to hear our headquarters caught wind of the Tweet, which stated that I was unkind to … [Read more...] about Ask Amy: The customer isn’t always right
