The armed DSS was said to have attacked Sunday Igboho at Guru Maraj’s area in Ibadan on Friday, while he was going to a point of unknown meeting in the state capital. MSNBC has scheduled a Sunday evening version of The Mehdi Hasan Show, which debuted weeknights last year on the streaming service Peacock . The show will air on MSNBC from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET.  It will fill the first hour of The Week with Joshua Johnson, which will continue at 9 p.m. Johnson also hosts from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. Hasan was a senior columnist and host of the podcast Deconstructed at The Intercept, and was previously a political commentator and presenter at Al Jazeera English. His show debuted on Oct. 5 on Peacock and streams on weeknights live from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. His segments have included ones devoted to the Capitol siege as well as A Pandemic Special Report: 50 Lives. MOSCOW: Russian police have issued a strong warning against participating in protests planned for Sunday (Jan 31) to call for the release of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, the Kremlin's most prominent foe. The warning comes amid detentions of Navalny associates and opposition journalists and a police plan to restrict movement in the center of Moscow on Sunday. Navalny was arrested on Jan. 17 after flying back to Russia from Germany, where he had spent five months recovering from nerve-agent poisoning. His detention sparked nationwide protests one week ago in about 100 cities; nearly 4,000 people were reported arrested. The next demonstration in Moscow is planned for Lubyanka Square. The Federal Security Service, which Navalny claims arrange to have him poisoned with a Soviet-era nerve agent on behalf of the Kremlin, is headquartered in the square.
