Blizzard says Diablo 2 Resurrected will make use of PS5 DualSense features like haptic feedback . As UnGeek reports, Blizzard's Robert Gallerani and Maxine Virtue detailed the studio's plans for Diablo 2 Resurrected DualSense support during a media roundtable at BlizzCon 2021. Though the developers didn't delve much into specifics, Gallerani all but confirmed haptic feedback for the upcoming Diablo 2 remaster. "We're still working on how we want to use [the DualSense], but the haptic feedback on the controller is a really exciting thing, and so we want to make sure that we take advantage of that," Gallerani said. The DualSense's haptic feedback feature is essentially an advanced rumble pack designed to increase immersion by replicating the feeling and effects of different surfaces and items. For example, walking through sand in a game should feel gritty, while firing off shotgun rounds should send spaced-out pulses to your hands. Gallerani also detailed a few of the … [Read more...] about Diablo 2 Resurrected will make use of the PS5’s DualSense features

Palit May Be Resurrecting the GeForce GTX 1060 for Crypto Miners
The cryptocurrency mining business is booming again and, according to a PC Gamer report, Palit may be getting ready to ride the wave. The company has registered multiple P106 graphics cards with the Eurasian Economics Commission (EEC). As always, these registered models may or may not make it to the market. Palit, like many other brands, launched the P106-100 back in 2017. The graphics card was based on the GP106 Pascal silicon, which is the same die that powers the highly successful GeForce GTX 1060 . In effect, the P106-100 and GeForce GTX 1060 were literally the same graphics card, aside from the removal of the video outputs on the first. As PC Gamer noted, the new part numbers sport a different nomenclature in comparison to the original part numbers. The registered part numbers fall in line with Palit's last-generation GTX 16-series graphics cards. However, it isn't likely that the manufacturer will update graphics card to the TU116 Turing silicon. Given the recent … [Read more...] about Palit May Be Resurrecting the GeForce GTX 1060 for Crypto Miners
Greg Bird, “best high school hitter in Colorado,” trying to resurrect career with Rockies
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Kevin Gausman has a prediction about Greg Bird, his buddy, and former Grandview High School teammate. “If he’s healthy, he’s definitely going to help the Rockies, because he’s a great left-handed hitter,” the San Francisco Giants starting pitcher said. “I feel pretty confident in saying that his power is going to play pretty well in Colorado. “I could definitely see him hitting some balls where Todd Helton used to, way up into the right-field seats at Coors Field. And I hope he does. I just hope it’s not against us.” The idea of Bird playing first base in LoDo is tantalizing, which is why the Rockies signed him to a minor league deal and invited him to big-league camp. “It’s a good fit, but to be quite honest, there wasn’t a lot of picking going on at my end,” said the 28-year-old Bird, adding that he feels 100% healthy after a series of injuries hijacked his promising career. “The Rockies gave me a good opportunity but I know I’m in a situation where I … [Read more...] about Greg Bird, “best high school hitter in Colorado,” trying to resurrect career with Rockies

The other wicket went to Mohit Avasthi. Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bat first but soon came to regret his decision watching his team slump to 8/3 inside four overs. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prithvi Shaw and no, 3 Iyer all managed two runs each before perishing before Suryakumar and Sarfaraz led a brief recovery with a 41-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Hillary Clinton They Aren’t: The Millennials Working to Save the Democratic Party
U.S. Democratic Party Hillary Clinton Donald Trump Millennials Corrected | Standing in her parents' pastel-hued living room, the low hum of a neighbor's hedge trimmer buzzing behind her, Hannah Risheq launched her campaign for the Virginia state legislature with a slightly rambling speech that was peppered with "like," "um" and other youthful tics. Despite her lack of polish, there was something compelling about the baby-faced 25-year-old Democratic candidate. A big part of it was her personal story: Her Palestinian immigrant father and Jewish mother were pushed out of Greensboro, North Carolina, when customers stopped patronizing their restaurant after the September 11 attacks. The family of six headed north and started over in the salad bowl of Virginia's Fairfax County. Related: The DNC wants to join the Resistance. Will activists allow it? But there's another aspect of Risheq's allure: her intensity. She captivated the roughly two dozen people who … [Read more...] about Hillary Clinton They Aren’t: The Millennials Working to Save the Democratic Party

Appropriating the time of our lives: The enduring appeal of 80s fashion
Shoulder pads! Blazers ! High waisted jeans! T-shirts tucked in! Big white sneakers ! All that’s missing is the permed hair and spandex onesies , but who’s to say they won’t be trendy in 2020? The 80s – the glorious, glittering, golden era of excess, when greed was good. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. “The 80s was the most fabulous time in fashion because people were proud of being vulgar,” declared Daniel Boey , fashion producer and author. “Shoulder pads, dayglo aerobics fashion, punk, glitter makeup. "What made the 80s really unique was the whole ecosystem: You had new wave bands like Duran Duran, and they became your role models. You had the start of the supermodel era: Versace made celebrities of Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford. It worked then because ‘supes’ were less accessible – people aspired to be like them. Whatever they wore, people wanted to be a part of that.” Boey postulates that what is happening now is a … [Read more...] about Appropriating the time of our lives: The enduring appeal of 80s fashion

Government surveillance bill withdrawn in US House
WASHINGTON: The House of Representatives on Thursday dropped consideration of legislation that would have extended U.S. surveillance tools, after President Donald Trump threatened a veto and his fellow Republicans withdrew their support. "The two-thirds of the Republican Party that voted for this bill in March have indicated they are going to vote against it now," Representative Steny Hoyer said in a statement on Thursday, after a vote on the measure was unexpectedly postponed late on Wednesday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to Democrats saying she intended to hold negotiations with the Senate on a possible compromise bill that could pass and go to Trump. The House approved that plan later on Thursday. The Justice Department said it opposed the bill - originally written by Attorney General William Barr and members of Congress - because it had been changed in ways that would make it more difficult "to identify and track terrorists and spies." The House passed the … [Read more...] about Government surveillance bill withdrawn in US House
