2018 Kia Stinger is a stylish gran turismo with biturbo V6 power

Range-topping GT version does 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 5.1 seconds and tops out at 167 mph (269 kph). Kia signaled its desire to launch a gran turismo in September 2011 when it introduced the GT concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Now, after more than five years, the GT is finally ready for production and it’s going to be called “ Stinger ” in the same vein as the GT4 Stinger unveiled at NAIAS in 2014. It’s debuting today in Detroit with an appealing design pinned at Kia’s studio in Frankfurt and echoing the concept before it. Regardless of viewing angle, the connections between the two are obvious. It doesn’t have the concept’s suicide doors, but other than that it remains faithful and in this range-topping GT trim looks quite aggressive and stylish at the same time. At 190.2 inches (4.8 meters) long and 73.6 inches (1.87 meters) wide, the Stinger is one of the biggest models in its segment and also has one of the longest wheelbases among competitors, stretching at … [Read more...] about 2018 Kia Stinger is a stylish gran turismo with biturbo V6 power

2018 Kia GT will be the fastest-accelerating Kia ever

The rear-wheel-drive Kia will need only 5.1 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph). In case you had any doubts concerning what the first teaser was about, the second one briefly shows the car’s side profile and it clearly matches the silhouette of those heavily camouflaged prototypes. It will take the shape of a liftback, meaning it will be more practical than the once traditional sedan body style. But what’s really important here is the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint set to take just 5.1 seconds, thus making it the fastest-accelerating Kia ever. We should point out the teaser recorded at the company’s track adjacent to the Namyang R&D center in South Korea mentions the number is a pre-homologation development target, but even so the production-ready car should mirror the performance. Previewed by the 2011 GT concept , the production version will allegedly be powered by an assortment of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, topped by a larger biturbo … [Read more...] about 2018 Kia GT will be the fastest-accelerating Kia ever

Black Falcon takes outright win at the 24H Dubai in 2018

Dubai – The Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3 (#2, Abdulaziz Al Faisal / Hubert Haupt / Yelmer Buurman / Gabriele Piana) has won the 2018 Hankook 24H Dubai, the 13th running of the annual event that, at one point, had looked likely to be won by the sister #3 entry. Abdulaziz Al Faisal drove the #2 Mercedes-AMG across the finish line after completing 606 laps of the 5.39km Dubai Autodrome. The result continues the event’s domination by German manufacturers and cements Buurman, Haupt and Al Faisal as dual winners of the Hankook 24H DUBAI following their first victory together in 2015 with Black Falcon. “I can’t express how happy I am!” explained Al Faisal. “My thanks to my team and my teammates, it’s been an amazing job from everyone. I’ve done this for 11 years now, and finally I’ve won it for a second time. Year in review 2018: Apple’s year of predictable updates and high prices

If 2017 was a year in which Apple let some products stagnate while over-aggressively trying to update others , 2018 was the exact opposite. Long-neglected favorites like the MacBook Air and Mac mini were finally refreshed, and iOS 12 focused on addressing longstanding complaints. For the most part, Apple didn’t wow us in 2018 with breakthrough designs or never-seen-it-before features. Just as iPhones have “S” years (iPhone 4s, 5s, 6s, etc.) where the design stays the same but everything is just better , this was an “S” year for Apple as a company. With the exception of the Apple Watch Series 4, most of this year’s product and service releases were safe and predictable. Apple didn’t launch major new services. It didn’t drastically change the designs and features of products we’re used to. But it did deliver a lot of products and software updates that we’ve all wanted for a long time. 2018 was a year of Apple dialing back the ambition that has caused many longtime users to … [Read more...] about Year in review 2018: Apple’s year of predictable updates and high prices

Rust Is Coming To PS4 And Xbox One This Spring

Rust has been having a breakout moment recently, finding popularity with Twitch streamers who were looking for a different spin on the survival game formula. The game is going to reach an even bigger audience when Rust launches on both Xbox One and PS4 very soon, with a release being announced for Spring 2021 on both platforms. A more specific release date has not yet been shared. While that launch will span both last-gen PlayStation and Xbox platforms, there's no word on a native current-gen release. However, backwards compatibility should allow you to play Rust on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rust is currently undergoing a closed beta for consoles that is expected to last a few weeks. Double Eleven is handling the console versions and previously worked on games like Prison Architect and Minecraft Dungeons. Double Eleven is also publishing the game, unlike the PC version, which is developed and published by Garry's Mod studio Facepunch. Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Patch Notes For March 8 Include MP, Zombies Fixes

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has received a small new update that makes fine-tuning changes across multiplayer, Zombies, and the League Play mode. For multiplayer, the Rapid Fire Moshpit playlist has been added to quick play, and that's the only change for now (though additional playlist updates are expected for later in the week). Also for multiplayer, the Guerrilla Warfare challenge has been updated so it tracks kills from any weapon instead of only the weapons from players you've killed. Additionally, the Helping Hand challenge now tracks Spy Plane scoring--apparently it didn't do this properly before. For the more competitive League Play mode, the update fixes an issue that could cause names to appear as blank. It also fixes an issue where players could be assigned a "broken" Ladder. And for Zombies, the March 8 update adds stability fixes for Objectives in the new Outbreak mode, while it also stops a "graphic corruption" issue from occurring when using the Frenzied … [Read more...] about Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Patch Notes For March 8 Include MP, Zombies Fixes
