Durand/Getty Images French actor Gérard Depardieu, 72, has been charged in a rape and sexual assault case , according to reports from French wire service Agence France-Presse . In 2018, a then-22-year-old actress filed a formal complaint with French police alleging that the actor sexually assaulted her twice that August in his Paris apartment. According to an AFP source close to the case, she was reportedly receiving career advice from the onetime Oscar nominee, a friend of her family’s. The source also denied reports that they were rehearsing a scene of a play, stating “there was nothing professional about the encounter.” The Paris public prosecutor’s office initially dropped the accuser’s claim nine months into the investigation, citing lack of evidence, but it was reopened late last year after the woman refiled. Arizona gymnastics earned their first win of the 2018 season, 195.725 to 195.025 during the meet against former head coach Tabitha Yim's Stanford Cardinal on Sunday, Feb. 11 in McKale Center. Both teams kept the scores relatively close throughout the meet, but the GymCats were able to stay in the lead despite minor mistakes and falls. Deceased Japanese expert infected with new virus variant: Health Minister A Japanese expert who died in Hanoi on February 13 has been infected with a new variant strain of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, said Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long. Long announced the results of the expert’s genome sequencing at a meeting of permanent Cabinet members in Hanoi on February 24. He did not reveal specifically but said this was the first time the new strain has been detected in Vietnam. The strain, he said, has circulated mainly in the Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan (China), and India. Beijing's Tongzhou district announced recently that Universal Studios Beijing will open in May and that a trial version of the theme park's app is now available online with details about the shows and themed rides in the park. The park, located in eastern Beijing, will feature seven themed lands, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Minion Land and Hollywood. It is expected to receive more than 10 million tourists per year. Once it opens, tourists will be able to navigate to the main entrance, dubbed Universal CityWalk Beijing, by taking the Beijing Subway Batong Line or subway Line 7. The trial version of the app includes a list of themed attractions that will be unveiled at Beijing Universal Resort, along with its entertainment and performance projects. Shanghai topped the national ranking in terms of urban modern agriculture development in 2018, according to a report released by Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Wednesday. The city was followed by Beijing and Sichuan province's Chengdu. Published biennially, the report is based on the research of over 14.81 million hectares of arable land - or 12 percent of the total arable land nationwide – in 35 cities that can grow 110 million tons of vegetables. Contributory indexes of the research include five first-level indicators like agricultural product security and sustainable development, as well as 23 second-level indicators.
