India vs England 4th Test Day 2: Rishabh Pant’s Century After Top Order Failure Keeps Hosts on Top

Rishabh Pant stole the show once again with some breathtakingly audacious strokeplay on the second day of the fourth Test at Motera on Friday. Pant reverse swept James Anderson to pick a boundary and that perfectly summed up the young wicketkeeper-batsman’s whirwind knock. The swashbuckling wicket-keeper batsman single-handedly put India in command on the second day of the fourth Test against England with his third century in Test cricket. Having started cautiously, Pant took the English bowlers to the cleaners in the final session to take the game away from the visitors and put the hosts in the driver’s seat. At stumps, India’s score read 294/7 with Washington Sundar (60) and Axar Patel (11) at the crease — leading the visitors by 89 runs in the first innings. India scored 141 runs in 32 overs in the final session of the second day. With wickets tumbling around him, Pant took 82 balls to reach his first fifty runs. But the next 50 came off just 33 balls as he decided to send the … [Read more...] about India vs England 4th Test Day 2: Rishabh Pant’s Century After Top Order Failure Keeps Hosts on Top

India vs England, 4th Test: New ‘Adam Gilchrist’ Rishabh Pant reveals the USP of his batting

Pant came to the crease when India were in some trouble at 80 for 4 and soon the home side was at 121 for 5 after the dismissal of Rohit Sharma. But the young wicket-keeper batsman played some daring shots, including a reverse scoop off James Anderson, en route his third Test hundred that took India to 294 for 7 at close. India now lead England by a healthy 89 runs. Pant and Washington Sundar shared a 113-run stand for the seventh wicket to take the match further away from England. Pant said his game is based upon reacting to the ball. "Sometimes you have to respect the bowler, and the ball, and if you get a bad ball then look for a single or more. I just see the ball and react to it, that's the USP of my cricket," Pant told Star Sports, the host broadcaster. Pant said the reverse sweep that he played off Anderson was pre-meditated. "The reverse-sweep, you have to premeditate it, but when things are going your way and most of the time I get the licence to go for my shots, after … [Read more...] about India vs England, 4th Test: New ‘Adam Gilchrist’ Rishabh Pant reveals the USP of his batting

‘Didi vs All’: Shiv Sena extends support to TMC in Bengal

After Rashtriya Janata Dal and Samajwadi Party, the Shiv Sena on Thursday extended its support to the Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, and said it would not contest assembly elections in Bengal. Is There Still a Case for Teaching Fixed vs. Growth Mindset?

Those who applied a growth mindset were more resilient, persisted longer at tasks, and pursued greater challenges. Source: Adam Winger/Unsplash Psychologist Carol Dweck has made waves with her research on mindset theory.  Her book entitled Mindset describes the benefits of developing a growth mindset where ability is seen as malleable.  This is the opposite of a fixed mindset where ability is viewed as innate and unchangeable. Recent studies have put some of her classic work into question. Dweck’s work has been taught all over the world.  The message that intelligence can change with effort is a popular idea that instilled a sense of hope and motivation to keep trying.  Viewing the brain as a muscle that could be strengthened with practice helped students gain control over their learning.  Those who applied a growth mindset were more resilient , persisted longer at tasks, and pursued greater challenges. Or so we thought. Recently, some of the pillars of … [Read more...] about Is There Still a Case for Teaching Fixed vs. Growth Mindset?

Lamborghini Urus Plug-In Hybrid To Pack 820 Horsepower?

The SUV's facelift will also allegedly bring a high-performance Sport RS version. Lamborghini has been spotted on multiple occasions testing a mid-cycle facelift for the Urus, and a new report from Car Magazine claims the disguise will come off sometime in 2022. The revised variant of the "Super SUV" is expected to bring an extension of the family as Sant'Agata Bolognese is allegedly planning a plug-in hybrid version and also a non-electrified Sport RS. The PHEV has been a long time coming, with Lamborghini's chief technical officer Maurizio Reggiani revealing in an interview nearly three years ago the Urus would get a charging port within 18 months. That obviously didn't happen, but it appears the LM 002's spiritual successor is getting closer to jumping on the electrified bandwagon.
