What. A. Rocket. Ever since people have been getting their hands on the 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S , the ultimate 911 has been gaining attention in terms of performance, and rightfully so. It has continuously proved that it's worthy of the name, and this latest drag race video is no exception from that. The contenders in the latest Carwow video aren't exactly slackers. The first one is a Nissan GT-R Nismo , also at the top of the Japanese marque's range. The Audi R8's the other one, and we all know that it's practically a tamer Lamborghini Huracan. Gallery: 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S 9 Photos The matchup sounds a bit diverse at an initial glance. The Japanese coupe has its mill up front, while the two Germans have theirs behind the seats – though one's rear-mounted and the other's a rear mid-engined supercar . Then again, looking at … [Read more...] about Watch Porsche 911 Turbo S Crush Both GT-R Nismo, Audi R8 In A Drag Race

BMW M340i xDrive Review (First Drive): The First Locally Assembled ‘M’ Car
Home Car reviews oi-Promeet Ghosh By Promeet Ghosh Updated: Saturday, March 6, 2021, 17:29 [IST] Rating: 4.0 It has almost been less than two years since the seventh-gen 3 Series was launched in India. Earlier this year in January, BMW India brought in the long-wheelbase 3 Series Gran Limousine in the country. That however does not seem to be enough and just a couple of months later after the long-wheelbase launch, BMW has come up with the locally-assembled M340i xDrive. We had a chance to drive the all-new BMW M340i xDrive for a couple of days and boy the car left us staggered. One more thing is that this is the first M car to be assembled in India. So, we took the car and went for a drive in the city and on the highway and here is what we have to say about it. Exterior & Design At first glance, when you see the car upfront it will be difficult for you to tell that this is a performance-oriented sedan … [Read more...] about BMW M340i xDrive Review (First Drive): The First Locally Assembled ‘M’ Car
Paffett in frame for DTM return with Mercedes team
The driving force behind Paffett’s comeback is believed to be the Schaeffler Group, which has been a series partner of the DTM for several months and is also working with the championship on the DTM Electric project for 2023. Schaeffler, together with Paravan, has developed a steer-by-wire system that is set to be run by the Mucke team in its Mercedes AMG GT3 this year. Both Schaeffler and Paravan would like to have Paffett in the car, with the British driver having spent 15 consecutive seasons in the DTM as a factory Mercedes driver and scored 23 race wins on top of his two title successes. Paffett’s chances of a comeback have been boosted by Schaeffler-Paravan’s appointment of former HWA man Hubert Hugle. Hugle had been in-charge of technology at HWA for several years and also served as its DTM Development Manager, and thus worked closely with the British driver until Mercedes’ exit from the series after 2018. Paffett’s return would also sit well with DTM boss … [Read more...] about Paffett in frame for DTM return with Mercedes team

Members of a provincial oversight committee on Monday afternoon toured the proposed 136-rai project site, located on the east end of the island in Chalong Bay. The developers, who have already purchased the land, intend for only 15% of the total 136 rai area to be covered by dwellings, according to the private firm preparing the current EIA application. Arriving on the island by boat from the nearby Phuket Marine Biological Center Pier at Laem Panwa, the committee members were led on a tour of the project site by Phuwanai ‘Best’ Wanamakok, General Manager of Wanamakok Civil and Engineering Consultants. Planting to end product: the forestry block open to the public
Once every two years, Marlborough gets together to celebrate those doing their bit – big or small – to help the environment. Ahead of the Marlborough Environment Awards, Maia Hart visits some finalists. Next up is builder David Kepes, who sources his timber from his own forestry block. David Kepes has a property on the edge of the Mahakipawa Inlet. Every time there’s a significant rainfall, Kepes says he watches the water turn brown for a couple of days. “The catchment of Te Hoiere [Pelorus], is feeding silt into the ocean and then as that silt settles, what it’s doing is it’s choking all the shellfish and marine life on the sea bed," Kepes said. READ MORE: The community garden growing just about any vegetable you could think of Blenheim hairdresser a cut above the rest in her organic approach to style “Anecdotally, you’ll talk to old timers who will say they used to catch snapper way out in the Mahakipawa Arm.” Kepes thinks the cause of that is from nearby … [Read more...] about Planting to end product: the forestry block open to the public
