A new multimillion-dollar cricket training facility will be built in Hagley Park if Christchurch councillors sign off on the proposal. The Canterbury Cricket Trust hopes to demolish the old horticultural hall near Hagley Oval and build a new training facility ahead of the Women's Cricket World Cup, which is due to kick-off in March 2022. Any delays to the proposal could be catastrophic, as there is a nine-month timeframe for construction, which leaves just three months for consenting and demolition of the horticultural hall. Council staff have noted the “degree of time pressure” before the world cup in a report to councillors next week. Lexus LFA Drag Races Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 Edition Roadster
These supercars still have plenty of speed. Neither the Lexus LFA nor the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition Roadster is on the market anymore, but they still have impressive performance. In this video from Lovecars , Tiff Needel gets behind the wheel of the Lexus, and the owner is at the controls of the SLR for the drag race. The LFA remains a very special supercar in large part because of its naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V10 engine that can rev to 9,500 rpm. The result is one of the best-sounding road cars ever. Did Colorado law enforcement flee the profession in 2020? Depends on the department.
Law enforcement unions and leaders warned throughout 2020 that the stresses of a pandemic, increased crime, protests against police brutality, calls for defunding departments and the passage of landmark police reform legislation could cause an exodus from the profession. The multiple stressors and anxieties for law enforcement in 2020 were layered like an onion, said Detective Michael Kim, second vice president of the Colorado Fraternal Order of Police. Do I leave this job?’” But data from individual Colorado agencies, a survey of law enforcement leaders and statewide numbers … [Read more...] about Did Colorado law enforcement flee the profession in 2020?
