Nintendo Switch 2: Bigger screen, 4K gaming and every upgrade we expect in 2021

The Nintendo Switch has been a runaway success , especially after a 2020 that had us all shut in at home playing Animal Crossing . The question now is... what comes next? Signs point to a new, 7-inch OLED model with possible 4K gaming when docked coming later this year. It may also have a brand-new Nvidia processor that's capable of 4K Nintendo gaming for the first time. Does that mean a Switch 2 is coming later this year? It sure seems like it. Maybe it'll be called the Switch 2. Or a Switch Pro. New Nintendo Switch. Super Nintendo Switch. Super Nintendo Switch XL. Call it whatever you want, but it's time for new Nintendo hardware to emerge. It's looking increasingly likely that that long-rumored "Switch Pro" could happen in 2021. Fishing industry suffering manpower shortage

Hundreds of big and small boats quietly are anchored at Lạch Hới fishing port in Thanh Hoá Province’’s Sầm Sơn City although the first months of the year was considered as the “golden season” for fishermen. Photo qdnd.vn THANH HÓA — Central provinces are facing a shortage of workers for the fishing industry in both quality and quantity, posing challenges to the sector as many boat owners are forced to sell their vessels and change jobs. With a coastline of 102km, Thanh Hóa Province has a long fishing history. However, offshore fishing fleets in the province are struggling while fewer locals are involved in fishing. The hustle and bustle in the past is absent at Lạch Hới fishing port in Sầm Sơn City, where once large baskets full of freshly-caught seafood were transported ashore and then delivered elsewhere. Now, hundreds of big and small boats are anchored at the port, even though the first months of the year are considered the “golden season” for fishermen. Miami Grand Prix joins 2022 F1 calendar

Discussions about holding a race in Miami have been ongoing for years, but on Sunday F1 chiefs finally confirmed that a 10-year deal has been agreed to hold a race around the Hard Rock Stadium. A brand new 5.41-kilometre track is being built to hold the event. The 19-turn configuration runs on land around the home of the Miami Dolphins and has a mixture of tight corners and high speed sections. No date has been set for the race, and its slot could well depend on what the plans are for the United States Grand Prix in Austin. Discussions are underway for a new contract there from 2022, but nothing has been agreed yet. The Austin event has most recently taken place in the autumn. While logistically it would make sense to hold the two USA races back-to-back, F1 could also choose to split the grands prix in to separate parts of the year to help spread out the impact that the sport has in the country. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali believed a second race in America would be a … [Read more...] about Miami Grand Prix joins 2022 F1 calendar

Ghost of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch’s next game could be a multiplayer title, if their latest job posting is anything to go by. Sucker Punch, the Sony studio behind last year’s hit Ghost of Tsushima is hiring for a new title and it looks like there will be a multiplayer component to the team’s next game. There is currently a job listing for a Multiplayer/Network Programmer on the Sucker Punch website (via Gaming Route ). The job listing title alone is enough to tell us that Sucker Punch is working, or at least is interested in working on multiplayer titles, but there are some more details in the listing that delve deeper into the role. There is mention of “cloud systems, peer-to-peer, and peer-to-server communication” as well as crafting gameplay features that “empower online gameplay experiences”. ‘Stuffed in one room like animals’: British Pakistanis protest over poor facilities at London quarantine centre

British Pakistani travellers quarantining at Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel near Heathrow Airport have protested over the lack of facilities especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The protesters complaint of non-provision of meals at the time of Sehri and Iftar as well as not being able to get three meals a day as guaranteed. Hasnain Sheikh, who spoke on behalf of around 19 Pakistani families, described the dire situation at the hotel in a video message. “It’s a basic human rights issue. People have not received food for the three meals that were contractually supposed to be provided to the families. The food that has been delivered has not been on time. Moreover, we are in the midst of the Holy Month of Ramadan. There are people who have fasted without receiving any food at all," Shiekh lamented. He regretted that the children at the quarantine centre were provided cold food while others also complained of food poisoning.
