GARY NEVILLE hopes the six rebel Premier League clubs are fined £100million each by Real Madrid and they end up 'eating themselves' in the messy fallout from the European Super League. And fans are also calling on the so-called 'Big Six' to be hit with a punishment within the English game. Neville was one of the strongest voices condemning Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and the two Manchester clubs for signing up to the 20-team breakaway franchise league. Fans, players, managers and pundits together made their fury known and all six made a sheepish U-turn on Tuesday night to withdraw from the ESL - less than 48 hours after their public statements signalling their intentions. But Neville still wants to see the Premier League sides made to pay for their initial plans which would likely have decimated the rest of English football. The former United and England right-back told Sky Sports : "Florentino Perez might have them on a £100m fine and I hope he does. … [Read more...] about Man Utd icon Gary Neville hopes Big Six are fined £100m EACH by Real Madrid and ‘eat themselves’ as fans want punishment

Outriders’ waypoint system is a work of art
Outriders might seem like an amalgamation of games we’ve already played before, but there’s one gameplay mechanic that Square Enix’s new looter shooter has totally made its own: the waypoint system. And as daft as it may sound, it’s honestly worth celebrating. We’ve seen games handle waypoints differently throughout the years, from simple distance counters that tick down the closer you get in Halo to the overhead, guiding beam found in The Division – a personal favorite of mine that I previously regarded as the pinnacle of waypoint systems, just so you know. All of these were equally effective in their own right, but none of them come close to the majesty, almost hypnotic beauty of Outriders’ waypoint. In a game that’s frequently asking you to jump to new locations, talk to mysterious strangers and navigate a savage land, it’s a relief that it works so wonderfully well. I can’t help but nod respectfully every time I use it. It's official: Outriders is on Xbox Game Pass … [Read more...] about Outriders’ waypoint system is a work of art

Now, over a decade after its traumatic ordeal, the pelican has finally made the 700-mile (1,100 kilometers) journey back home. "It's truly impressive that it made its way back from Georgia," Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) biologist Casey Wright, who spotted and photographed the pelican sitting atop a rock on Queen Bess Island in Barataria Bay, said in a statement . Related: In photos: Flight of the brown pelicans The bird was identified by the tag that was clipped to its right leg after its rescue from Empire Jetty in Barataria Bay in the aftermath of the spill, which smothered the Gulf of Mexico with more than 400,000 tons (370,000 metric tons) of oil. … [Read more...] about Pelican rescued from Deepwater Horizon disaster flies hundreds of miles home
