Nickelodeon has given an official series greenlight to SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff The Patrick Star Show . Nick has ordered 13 episodes of the animated series centered on SpongeBob’s best friend Patrick Star, voiced by Bill Fagerbakke. The series hails from the creative team behind the mothership series. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the family sitcom stars Patrick and the rest of his family as they are constantly disrupted by Patrick’s wild whims and surreal imagination. The series will debut this summer on Nickelodeon. The 46th annual Saturn Awards unveiled nominations Thursday by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, the nonprofit that honors the year’s best in genre films, TV, home entertainment and theater. The wide-ranging list of nominees were led by Disney/Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker , which scored the most noms overall with 12 including for Best Science Fiction Release. It was one of several films from last year’s movie awards season that were eligible this year after the group extended its eligibility period to run July 15, 2019-November 15, 2020 and allowed streaming and VOD entrants in the film categories. CHANNEL 4 have hit back at axed SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton after he dismissed their allegations of "inappropriate comments" as "banter". The 40-year-old star slammed the "desperate and reckless" broadcaster live on Good Morning Britain yesterday - insisting that he'd already decided to leave the show. When quizzed on new claims that he'd received complaints from female staff members , Ant said these would have been "indirect" remarks and "military humour" from his and the other instructors' dorm. Channel 4 have now released a statement refuting these claims - saying the "inappropriate comments" were made when the cameras weren't rolling and are completely separate to his "on-screen persona". They told The Mirror : "Our decision not to renew Ant Middleton’s contract and not to work with him again was solely based on his personal conduct off-camera and is not related to his on-screen persona as a DS." Football fans all seem to have an opinion about Brady, but Antonio Brown, as an accused rapist, should be considered the more controversial player on the Buccaneers. The wide receiver won Super Bowl LV , which earned him a $750,000 bonus. Britney Taylor, a gymnast who worked as Brown's trainer, filed a civil lawsuit in September 2019, claiming Brown sexually assaulted her twice and raped her once. The NFL suspended Brown for eight games for violating its personal conduct policy and despite Bucs coach Bruce Arians deeming Brown the wrong fit for the team in March 2020, with some support from Brady, he landed a one-year contract with the team worth up to $2.5 million. At the time of his signing, Brown had not yet stood trial for his sexual assault claims (the trail was pushed to December 2021 ), though he denied the charges. A signature 1990s sitcom is coming back for a new chapter. NBC has given a straight-to-series 13-episode order to Coach , with original star Craig T. Nelson on board to reprise his role and creator Barry Kemp set to write. A sequel to the original series, the new Coach will be set in present day, picking up 18 years after the ABC sitcom went off the air after nine seasons. Coach Hayden Fox (Nelson) — now retired from coaching — is called back to become assistant coach to his own grown son, who is the new head coach at an Ivy league school in Pennsylvania that is just starting up a new team. Though the original series focused on Fox’s relationship with his college-age daughter, towards the end of the show he and his wife adopted a son who will grow up to follow in his father’s footsteps. Kemp and Nelson are executive producing the comedy, which, like the original, will be multi-camera. MISSION Impossible’s all about pulling off the unfeasible – but shooting the film during a pandemic is a challenge too far for leading man Tom Cruise and his team. He flew the cast and crew to the Middle East for the latest run of scenes, but has been forced to end filming of the seventh instalment of the franchise after people refused to work any longer. Production staff demanded they were allowed to head back to the UK this weekend before hotel quarantine rules come into effect on Monday. Studio bosses have now had to charter a private jet to bring them home because they were up in arms about not being able to return to their families.
