Found the old thread of messages reposted in your Facebook messenger? If yes, then no need to panic. It was just a bug caused by software update and has already been resolved. This relates to a Facebook Messenger episode yesterday when some Facebook users complained about seeing year old conversations in the Messenger tab. The issue was first reported by some users on Twitter and Reddit during the early hours of November 27. They complained that the Facebook Messenger is showing old conversations as new, without any context or explanation. “I am not sure what is happening with Facebook and old messages popping up as new ones, but it gets really ridiculous being confronted with some of the chats from couple of years ago,” wrote one of the users on Twitter. It annoyed several other users as the bug brought back past histories and conversations that they would better like to forget.
