He meted out this treatment to Akila Dananjaya who had earlier picked up a hat-trick, as the hosts won the action-packed opening game of the series by four wickets. The start and the hat-trick West Indies were off the blocks quickly in a chase of 132, with Evin Lewis setting the tone for the innings by scoring three successive sixes off Angelo Mathews in the opening over. Lendl Simmons got into the act with a six off Dananjaya in the second over while 21 runs came off the third as the West Indian openers went after Dushmantha Chameera.
